ABOUT THE PROTOTYPE
Breakout EX is Puzzle Game made in 25 days. I made the entire project and documents.
This project has been done during the period of containment due to the corona virus.
A fun experience where I was able to reassess my skills in several areas by working alone

Since I start my studies I'm comfortable with puzzle games (my first entrance exam for Gamesup, Lykos...). But I always try to see further in my puzzle by applying simple mechanics that interlock with each other. Basically try to create emergent gameplay.
Thanks to my previous project candy hunt I better apply the iteration phases.
I try to made an LD where each space teach a new thing to the player, by unlock abilities or discover a new obstacle that becomes an advantage (like beam).

The implementation part is one of my particularities on each project. I want to keep a relationship with the artists and thanks to that I can better understand their constraints and better make those of the designers heard.
But this time... I was alone. So I focus myself on small things that are easy to do but give a scene much more depth than with simple gray blocks. Thanks to Lights, VFX, complex Blockout...
